Arts 5 REFLEJARTE, "Knitting emotions", Our Big Patchwork Cloth (Fundación Botín)

“Emotions can be knitted, sewn them up, patched, all are different but complementary, and all are important the same”.

“ERUPTION OF EMOTIONS”

Motivated with this idea, following the reflections and shared ideas, the group of 5th A decided that our fabrics represent an erupting volcano. The different emotions shared in recent days escape freely from the volcano and each of them in their own way. Our thoughts and emotions are reflected there, in our patchwork, erupting bravely from the volcano ... It was a very stimulating work and we have learned a lot from each other.

“IN OUR HANDS”

After the work done, the group of 5th B decided to represent a hand with a ring in the shape of the Earth. We wanted to turn our emotions and thoughts around the planet on which we live and we should take care... We all live in it and together we can look after it... Our concerns and emotions about the environment and the enjoyment of our free time are reflected in our patchwork. In our hands it is to take care of it, to enjoy it and to keep it well.

“KEEP AN EYE ON YOUR EMOTIONS”

And after several sessions working with fabrics, the students of 5th C decided to represent a hidden eye between our emotions. Because we want to be attentive to what we feel and what others feel. Because we have discovered that behind all we do, we are hiding our emotions and our motivations. Discovering that is an exciting adventure. Can you not find our eye on our patchwork? In it we reflected the emotions with our fabrics.
